Ingredients
- 1 liter of Orujo or
(Italian grappa)
- 3/4 cup of sugar plus
2 tbsp
- 1/2 cup coffee beans
whole
- 1 cup dices fresh
peaches
- 1 cup diced fresh
apples
- 2 lemons diced
Preparation
Place all ingredients in large earthenware bowl ( save 1/2 cup of the Orujo
and 3 tbsp of the sugar), stir well. Blend the remaining Orujo and sugar in a
earthenware ladle and light it. heat the mixture thoroughly until drink is
warm. Serve while still flaming into earthen ware cups. To extinguish flame,
place saucer over the flaming liquid.
This a great
beverage to serve on the Indian Summer evenings on the patio or around a
campfire. Your guests will talk about it for years to come.
Note: To prevent
nasal hair burning, kindly explain to your guests that the flame must be
extinguished prior to drinking.
